Did a cover for Businessweek about the current housing market boom.
I was asked to make an excited family with large quantities of money.
I slipped in my lovely cat, Boo which was my favorite part.
Too bad I wasn’t asked to draw large quantities of cats.
Drawing dollars was a drag.
Made this cover for the Big Quarters duo out of Minneapolis.
Their new album is called Somos No Joke coming out in November 2012.
The concept was quite experimental since I wasn’t entirely sure
it would read right with the reflections and such.
I was pretty happy with the final though.

I will be teaching a characters/concepts class on Sunday, October 28th
at Light Grey Art Lab.
It goes from 12:30 - 3:00PM and it is $25 to sign up.
Creating characters is all about your stories and encounters. We will tap into everyone’s individual hidden tendencies for drawing faces and costumes and expressions. We will work on action and movement to bring the characters to life. I will share techniques on building characters from basic shapes and forms.

Here are 2 of the 8 Moleskine illustration spreads I did for Front Magazine’s Halloween themed issue.
I did all of these straight into the sketchbook which took forever since I couldn’t really mess up. I was happy that they were cool with the raw sketchbook look.
This section is called ‘How To Hunt Ghosts’ and goes over the various types of
phantom personalities or situations one may encounter.
